Request details to review
- The vendor is already known to the business.
- The request changes payment, contact, mailing, system, or account information.
- The request came through the vendor's usual channel.
- The internal vendor owner has reviewed the request.
- Any related payment is paused until the change is verified.
Known-channel check
- Use contact information already in business records, not contact details from the new message.
- Verify through a known channel before changing the vendor master file.
- Require a second reviewer for any new money destination.
- Do not share passwords, one-time codes, or private documents.
- Save a short note showing who reviewed the change and what decision was made.
Reminder
A real vendor can wait while a change is checked through the normal process.
